A Birthday Present Taking the Intresting Form of Night Trekking

Well, it is one from my point of view.

On the previous Friday, it was 10 o'clock sharp (well, almost...), all participants have just arrived just in time for the briefing.
 Then, it rained...
Again, it's difficult to tell that it's rain...
And we all had to squeeze in to the nearby security pondok...
There, we were all treated to a nice cup of hot beverage and cheese cakes while waiting for the rain to pass...Ok, that didn't happen, as soon as the rain let up a bit, we were asked to move indoors.
Oh, it's also worth noting that picture quality might be quite low as they were all taken in rather dark conditions.
Anyway, the briefing continues and so will the activity as it rains throughout the night. BTW, it's only fair that I mention there would not be pictures (or at least not as many) throughout the upcoming walk. It's dark+constantly on the move = bad pictures. See for yourself.
I'll try my best to explain without pictures. Ok, the beginning of the path is still illuminated well, but eventually there were no more lights along the road (except for the occasional lightning strike that brightens the environment for a split second or so.). Suddenly, it started raining again. We marched on until we reached what I think is a Islamic kubur (judging by the words engraved on the graves), where we decided to wait for the rain to stop, again.
Again, there were no lights other than what we brought with us.
It was quite a painful wait, it was dark, stuffy and someone with too much free time decided to smoke... Finally, the rain let up and we continued our journey until the rain started, again... At this point, the lecturer (or facilitator) decided that it's time to turn back. The following journey back to the campus really bugged me; My legs hurt, my shoes are wet, it's raining rather heavily, my glasses are completely smeared halfway through the trip, and it's very dark.

It was past 1 a.m. when we reached the campus, I expected them to debrief us and then let us go. Instead, we all gathered at the gym for the next three hours hearing some stories and then having some activities (I also realized that it's my birthday during that time).
At around 4 a.m. we were sent out to the padang to masak and set up camp. We only did the former, we had one of the few camps available and it didn't turn out well in the end. There seemed to be a lack of the...skeleton...or supports, or something... Which according to a presumably experienced member, is required to set up the camp, and out of frustration, everyone in the group gave up.

Then for breakfast, ( it was 'bout five then) canned sardine, omelets and bread. I don't know what's up with the rice taking a long time to cook, maybe it's the rain (yes, it started raining again), but I didn't have the appetite for a heavy meal anyway... Two slices of bread+some sardine+some omelet = my breakfast for the day. Nothing much happened after that. Well, except that I decided to leave early and had to return as the lecturer was quite...unhappy.

Ok, let's wrap it up.
So, I guess this is like, sort of a pilgrimage for me?
